Palma de Mallorca organized the two latest workshop and training of the Project (Isles Baleares)

On November 18-20, two events was indeed held in Palma de Mallorca:

  • A Workshop on "Advances in Biotechnology: Societal and Ethical concerns" on day 1

  • A Training on "Exploration and analysis of the best practices and methods in transfer of technologies on days 2 & 3

These events gather between 20 and 30 attendees every day. Coming from France, Spain and Portugal, and for 60% from the industrial sphere, participants was glad to hear on day 1 three exciting sessions on new approaches in biotechnology, public perception on Science and Innovation and Ethical concerns related to Biotechnological Innovation such as Stem Cells and Gen Therapy.

On day 2 & 3 the training sessions were the opportunity to hear about Technology Watch, Competitive Intelligence and methodologies to evaluate technologies. A very interactive round table on tech transfer had also a very good audience.

Not only the program was a success but the indian summer was also there, to the delight of the attendees !
