On May 19-20, Bordeaux organized the 7th IECB Young Scientist Symposium, a new successful TRANSBIO SUDOE event!
The symposium attracted more than 110 participants including close to 20 from Spain and Portugal to attend this event dedicated to young researchers’ works.
Attendees could have heard the presentations of 12 selected speakers at the interface between biology, chemistry and physics and 22 posters were displayed throughout these two days.
A second part of the symposium named “I have a PhD what’s next?” was dedicated to careers with speakers such as Dr. Marta Amador, Co-founder & manager of Kramer SA or Mateos David, manager R&D at Areva BioEnergy, presenting their professional experience. The objective was to describe the various career paths possible with a PhD, classical or atypical.
The participants seem to have been highly enthusiastic about meeting other young researchers, in a professional and pleasant atmosphere, and already look forward to the next edition!
