Added value of the cooperation : This project will follow a previous one that has allowed a preliminary development of proteomic methodological strategies on the study of the cellular response to deleterious protein aggregation. It is very important to extend this previous and promising work, in order to achieve a set of experimental results relevant for a strong application for international funding at the European level. Responsibilities of the several partners: ‐UAB: preparation of biological material, protein extraction and quantification. ‐ITQB: protein digestion at UAB, LC‐MSMS running of samples ‐VHIO: optimization of LC‐MSMS method.

Summary of the proposal : v id="cke_pastebin"> The thematic of the proposal will be on the global evaluation by omics approaches of the
changes in proteostasis and the cellular response to deal with the accumulation of cytotoxic
protein aggregates, a process that is known to promote the onset of an increasing number of
neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
