December 2014 - Issue 3
I remember the kick-off meeting as if it was yesterday, and here we already are back from the closing meeting of TRANSBIO SUDOE that has been held last week in Toulouse!
And I am glad to present you a very positive assessment after two years and a half very fruitful in events: 17 collaborative projects have emerged (16 are still running), 16 interregional networking events have been organized and met success, a network of TTO managers has been set up, 3 European Bioclusters have been visited to exchange and share experience, ….. Only the two Erasmus+ projects TRANSBIO SUDOE that has been submitted have been rejected, but only by a tiny margin for one of them. I guess a next submission will succeed!

But it was also two years and a half far too short to achieve all the objectives we still have in mind; new exciting projects already are in the pipeline of our cluster begging to be set up and new potential partners would enjoy joining us!
I would like to add that it was a pleasure and a great honor to lead TRANSBIO SUDOE with you all, I thank all our partners for their involvement, ideas and collaboration that allow the success of our project. And my special thanks go to Alain-Michel Boudet, my predecessor who was a precious support during the transitional period, and to Angela Moca-Licciardi, the General Manager of TRANSBIO SUDOE for the job she is doing for all of us. It would be regrettable if our alliances that have been built during INTERBIO and which have continued within the framework of TRANSBIO suddenly stop. Let us hope a third round will emerge in order our network keep going on.
In the meantime I am glad to wish you a very happy festive season and may I say see you very soon in 2015!
